While the theme of this indoor environment is Metaverse, my room is more sci-fi, postapocalyptic, cyber-punk living room-kind of- situation. Metaverse is a very broad and undefined concept and after having tried google’ing what could Metaverse mean in terms of interior design, I realized that even more. So, my concept or idea of it is something modern and simple but at the same time futuristic and robust. Or maybe I just wanted to create a sci-fi cyber-punk environment…
The world I wanted to create is one in the future that’s dark and with little or no greenery left. The interior design has long moved to space-ship like living areas. A lot of the greenery such as plants and vegetables are being reserved indoors in artifical light.
I really like the color scheme of the cyber-punk style – the blues and pinks. I feel these colors help to create the mood that the futuristic sad world would have.
I searched for a lot of material and created a mood board on Pinterest including ideas for the lighting, furniture style, window style, the preservation and/or presentation of greenery indoors, and the overall feeling.
